I am having some trouble accessing the INTERNET. I am running Windows XP Service Pack 3. I keep RECEIVING the following error: error attempting to validate the winsock base providers: 2.

Try This...I have tried the WinsockXPFix but that still is not working for me. Any other ideas?Start/Run type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter...
Have your XP CD handy as it will ask for it.
Let it run to completion...remove the XP CD and re-boot.
