Answer» hi everyone im RUNNING xp home edition on my hp pavilion dv 2045ea laptop which is out of the warranty period. i had to run a clean install from the recovery disc i made from when i first booted up the machine only to receive the message "corrupt data" so i had to buy a new recovery disc from a HP partner at a cost of £25.00 i installed it and i GET an error message when it LOADS device drivers which reads "invalid data"and my machine does not recognise my wireless mouse,camera ect.when i look in device manager there is an exclamation mark displaying unknown device driver not installed i have tried to resolve the problem myself WITHOUT luck,i was thinking of buying a new xp disc and reinstalling that my question is would doing this work or am i wasting my time i would be greatfull for any help cheers tube.Did you laptop COME with a drivers disk?
