Answer» Just purchased my first laptop and am attempting to connect to the internet via a DSL GNET Modem using PPPoE. When I attempt to connect to the internet I get Error Code 651: The modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error. Any ideas on a FIX for this. While there are some things on your end that can cause the problem it is more likely that the problem will be at the ISP end. Even if it is not at their end they should be in a position to WALK you through the process to ESTABLISH where the problem is. If it turns out to be solved via their involvement please post back to tell us what was the cause specifically. truenorth
