Answer» I have Vista Home Premium on my HP Laptop. I'm trying to install software, but keep getting an error that multiple users are logged onto the machine.
The problem is, I only have one user created on the machine, the Administrator. I do not have the guest account enabled.
Anyone know what might be causing this error? Could it be the fast switch user FUNCTION even though I don't have any other user accounts? TI would definately SUGGEST disabling the Fast User Switching service, if you will be the only one using this laptop. Can you post a screen shot of the error that you are getting?I gave up on this for a while, but am trying again. I've removed fast user switching (by adding a dword key SOMETHING to the registry). But I STILL get the attached error when trying to install software. Anyone know why this might be happening?
[attachment DELETED by admin]Go into your services and check to see if Fast User Switching is running or not.
