Hello everybody, in many times my machine shows me that the virtual memory is low, I have been up the virtual memory TAKING in care the recomendations by Microsoft, but the OS still shows me this message, also, when it happens I couldn't see the network completly, only my machine, I try to connect via DOS using the net use command but it prompt me a message: insufficient RESOURCES to execute this command


What could I do? send to the trash Windows and Install linux in my machine??

SincerelyCan you list some of your SPECS. Hard drive size, amount of RAM, which version of Windows are you using? Have you made any changes recently? When you say you increased the virtual memory do you mean the page file size?My OS is Windows XP Professional Edition SP2, I have 256 MB RAM memory, HD 80 Gb., CPU Intel Pentium 4 3 Ghz. Hyper Treading, Video 128 Mb., Brand: IBM, Model Thinkcentre A52.

I'd spanded the page size file.Right click My COMPUTER, select Properties, Advanced, under Performance select Settings, Advanced, then, under Virtual Memory click Change.

Increase you virtual memory to about 512 MB.
