Solve : Error loading OS?

Answer»

hi. last night my windows got error and i tried to install ubuntu(in order to save my files), but the installation failed due to lack of space(got stuck at 33%). I decided to restart my pc and i got "error loading operating system".

Now i dont know what to do....

I dont want to LOSE my files. please HELPPLEASE help me.Installing an OS on TOP of another one is obviously going to CAUSE lost/damaged files....
Remove that drive and hook it up as a slave in a working machine to see what if anything is salvageable.hmm...how do i do this ? is there a way to use live ubuntu to BACKUP all my files on a cd or dvd?

Thx for helping me...im using ubuntu from live cd and its kinda slow.UPDATE:i tried to use fixboot command from windows xp cd and now i get "NTLDR is missing"

What do i need to do ? I think i'm getting this error because Ubuntu failed to partition my HDD(got stuck at 33%)..Can i remove this failed partition from my PC ? Partitioning wipes out as many/more files even more effectively than formatting does...Slave Drive Instructions
