Solve : error message containing libeay32.dll file?

Answer»

I have been getting this stupid error message. I thought I fixed it, but it came back. It reads:

Explorer.EXE: The PROCEDURE entry point BUF_MEM_grow_clean could not be located in the dynamic link library libeay32.dll

I believe that this file is preventing me from getting on my wireless network internet. Please help. I have not been able to find anything on this file on the internet.

Also, I have been getting this:

Kubn5w.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I have no idea what program this is for. Can anyone help me on this also? Thanks!!!
BTW: I am running Win XP and have a real win cd. My puter is really old. BROUGHT in 2000. Do you use Filezilla, or Miranda?

Go Start>Run, type:
sfc /SCANNOW (<----watch for "space")
Hit Enter.
Have your Windows CD readyThis may help. I was working to clean up my main system and removed the Linksys USB driver and Monitor, since I was not using it any more. I did not notice the difference until much later. I was receiving the same message as you on boot.

I REINSTALLED the Linksys USB Wireless Monitor and driver for the WUSBF54G (which does have the libeay32.dll) and the error went away. I pulled down the driver from here

Link Edit
I like using Windows XP's Wireless client so I just right clicked the square Linksys monitor in the task bar, hit "Use Windows Zero Configuration Utility", disconnected my USB Linksys adapter and reconnected. Now Windows is controling the Wireless adapter from Linksys.

Maybe you can find some related clues in this POST. Good Luck.
