Am sorry too, for the delay, the black screen that appeared, the first couple of times, after I did what, you suggested to do, does not appear anymore, when it did appear, I still able to start my computer, and WINDOWS comes up, and my computer runs, but the other day, it rebooted itself again, and brought up Windows fine, then too, it froze-locked up, had to turn it off the hardway again, and re-started it, Windows came back up fine. This is my only computer.

I guess the first thing I would recommend is backing up any personal data that you have on that system next time you're able to get into Windows. At this point you never know when you'll be able to get it again.

Windows has an event log that should log what is happening when it freezes. Here is a link on how to read it.

That log may give us an idea of what is causing the system to hard lock up like that. It's quite possibly the processor just isn't able to handle a large number of processes anymore. Or it could be that some software is over-taxing it.

You may also want to do some basic maintenance on the system such as defragging the hard drive, cleaning out OLD, unused files, clearing temporary internt files, etc.

Can you PM me with the service tag of your system? It's located on a sticker that's attached to EITHER the side or back of the system. Depending on what model you have it may have a front ACCESS door to USB ports and it could be in there. I'll pull up some specific information about your model in our system and see how BEST to help you.

My computer is working great now, I am not sure what I did to it, to make it work great again, but without any of your suggestions, I would of not been able to do whatever I did, to undo my computer problems, and once again, Thanks alot. Hopefully no more computer problems, but if does, then I will be back here for help again.
