Answer» I have just started GETTING the following error on Windows startup. I can't find any further info about it. I can press ok and it goes away and NOTHING else seems to happen. The error is: Error loading c:\windows\mlex320.dll
I have triple checked this is correct. Nothing even comes up when I google it. I am having intermittent problems with viruses/trojans etc, despite running Avira and Malawarebytes which is why I'm a bit concerned.
I am also having semi regular problems with the computer half freezing. I can still move the mouse, select things, eg, disable the internet connection, press restart computer, press Ctrl Alt Del, but nothing happens when I do this. It's like my comp is ignoring me. But I'll then reboot -can only do this by holding down the power button- and scan and nothing is detected.
Should I just ignore it or do I need to sort it out?
I'm using a Samsung Netbook NC10 with Windows XP Home edition, Service pack 3
Thanks for your help, SarahI would suggest entering COMMAND prompt (Start>Run>cmd>click OK) and typing "sfc /scannow" without the quotation marks.
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/system_file_checker.mspx?mfr=trueDon't worry, it's working in normal MODE!Since the .dll is located in the wrong directory...and it shows up NOWHERE as a common .dll i suspect you're infected....
Clik Here... and follow the info on posting your logs.Bugger. Thanks, I was hoping it was something simple.
