Solve : Error on startup.? |
|
Answer» IM running XP professional and after it tries to boot into Windows it gives me this error; lsass.exe - Unable to locate component. This app failed to start because SAMLIB.dll was not found re-installing the app may fix this problem. then after that all I GET is a dark screen and nothing else but I can still move the arrow around with the mouse. I didn't delete anything or change any settings it just restarted itself and then said that. Any thoughts on how to fix without installing windows again? You are PROBABLY virus infected. What are you using for antivirus that is updated and USED? I hate Symantec, but here's a good read: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sasser.g.html Download AVG Free, update it, then boot to safe mode to run. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 Also free online virus SCANNER at www.trendmicro.com Use them both and post back! |
