Solve : Error when updating to xp pro?

I bought xp PRO to update xp home. I get this error. Windows\System32\Config\System.sav. I couldn't USE my computer after that. I had to go into the recovery console. Can someone tell me what that error is?

You may have to remove SP2 to upgrade depending on what version of XP Home you are using and what version of XP Pro that you have.
