Hi, I once thought of myself as a relative techie.

I now realise I am not one of those.
A couple days ago, I tried to delete a write-protected file from my hard-drive. It took me seven hours, many tufts of hair and a lot of patience to figure out that all I needed to do was restart the PC.

Now, every file (apart from My Computer and internet Explorer) opens under the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer application.
This, of course, means that I can't access the Add or Remove Programs page because it opens under WPaFV!

I'm at the END of my tether and any help would be greatly appreciated.

with CONFUSION about FAXES and such, seriously, I need very much to follow this, so I hope it gets solved, I can use this kind of outdated play catch up and get all dirty, because manufacturers sell bugs and then sell the fixes, . . I wish that I was rich so I could sue the SOB's for killing me ! ! !

In My Computer, go to Tools --Folder Options --> File Types.
You can change file associations there, OK?
