But.. If it is the RAM then if I replace it, won't it HAPPEN again? Like I said, It's BRAND NEW, and I'm not exactly inclined to rinse and repeat seeing as that can be expensive.
So looking at my computer specs could you guys recommend any specific RAM in general, as well as tips to prevent it, and/or maybe an answer to why it happened in the first place when it's brand new?

To be doubly sure, test the hard drive. HD problems can masquerade as RAM problems. We had a thread on this recently. Choose the diagnostic for your hard drive. http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287
