Solve : Evil Vista pc tools tray application has stopped working? |

Answer» My sister pc is getting this pop-up error about pc tools tray application has stopped working LIKE that or something but its spefic to that error meaning that its displaying something along those lines. At any rate I did a msconfig and WENT to the start tab to see if I couldnt turn it off then on an see if it would detect BACK, I know the app that is causeing issues or so I think. She dont have her disk with her but when it comes to this I am thinking it mite be a male ware issue or something too but not sure if that is part of it or not so much. squall_01, if You believe the comp is infected You should go here first. If you don't want to uninstall it, then stop it from starting with use the System Configuration Utility. Start Orb>type in Search box: msconfig [enter] This will make msconfig appear above. Right-click on it and choose "run as Administrator". This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and find the PROBABLE culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in effectOkay sorry we just uninstalled in add/remove. She dont have any of her desktop icons any way to get them back.
