Solve : Excel?

Answer»

I NEED help with multiplying CELLS in Excel. I don't know if I'm using the right formula.

=PRODUCT(B2:B11, B3)

I have $20.00 INSERTED into cell B2. It is multiplying correctly anything I insert into B3 through B11. My total shows up in B12. However, if I CLEAR all info. in cells B3 through B11, there is still a total of $20.00 in B12. I don't want it to show a total of $20.00 if I don't have anything I have multiplied in that row.

I probably don't make much sense, but any help is appreciated.Apparently, your SUM formula in B12 must include cell B2, where you have $20. Is that right?
