Answer» Hi Everybody
How can I have both excel and an internet site open in the screen at the same time. and How can I extract data from the internet site and post it in Excel while excel is still open. and without have either window CLOSING?Are you looking to automate copy/pasting of information from a website into an excel document, so that the system on its own gathers info?
If so I would go with a MACRO tool such as Jitbit Macro Recorder. But it costs money. It worked really well. I have owned this software for over 7 years now and love it. I have used this in the past for redundant processes and info gathering from eTrade to be populated into Excel etc for custom graphs etc.
An even better method would be to write code that would PARSE a website for info and create a CSV FILE as its output which can be imported to Excel easily.
Any specific reason why both windows need to be open at the same time?I mean no offense but your question is so elementary that I see a need for some info about your level of knowledge. Do you not understand how to open more than one program at the same time? Are you unfamiliar with how to minimize an open program window to the taskbar and then open another program, leaving the first program open but minimized? And, do know nothing about copy and paste procedures? Soybean is right, it seems elementary. However, that kind of questions is being asked by others too.

On my previous Windows PC, I could just select the table, copy, and paste into Excel. With my new Mac, I was disappointed to find that copying a table in Safari and pasting it into Excel puts all the data in a single ...
Does that apply? In the above example the browser had some impact on the copy and paste.
