I had a virus in my computer.. TOOK it to a COMP repair place, they told me to get all info off---pics/docs..back up on cd/dvd---i did... and then to "recover" "repair" back to factory settings...i tried and now i get that blue screen and
"explorer.exe"--this application has failed to start because POWRPROF.DLL was not found. reinstalling the application may FIX this problem
--ok--- how do i fix it?? i have not icons, no tool BARS. i cant get into my programs or "my computer" i am not sure if i have a "recovery disc" as per the store i have 'recovery" in my programs---APPARENTLY doesnt seem to wanna work....
not sure what to do You may still be infected...re-run your scans...
Then go to Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter...have your XP CD handy as it will ask for it.
Let it run to completion and re-boot.
