Answer» Win.98se. Legit cd. If everything is in working order, perhaps your PC is overheating? Why do I get the feeling I'm not being taken seriously here :-? Why would an overheating problem manifest itself only when trying to Extract from two very specific Cab files and not when running other more resource hungry applications :-? I even suspected a problem with the cdrom so swapped that for another with the same results. Ah well, thanks anyway Raptor. I have a second legit Win.98se disk coming soon and will try that.. V...Install and run TweakUI for Win98 which has a built in cab viewer PROGRAM... patio. 8-)Have visited many sites and none of them list contents of the two .cab files mentioned. Here is a sample. Another genuine 98se full version cd shows the same pattern as mine - no content in the cabs mentioned. I guess it's just another M$ trick to baffle users. V...
