Answer» i have a fake windows x/p on my coputer (installed by the shop i bought it from)the shop is no longer there .thats life .my question can i upgrade the one i have how and at what cost.What is the brand name and model number of your computer?
Look Here----->RecoveryCDs
or Here------->RestoreDisksMicrosoft will sell you a license or you can just buy a retail or OEM CD, which is what I would recommend.HI G/MAN thanks for info but what is a oem disc and where do i get one. what do i ask for.sorry not very good at this.An OEM disk is for system builders but you can get one too. It is a full installation, not an upgrade, so a previous version of Windows is not require. It is usually the same PRICE (ROUGHLY) as an upgrade CD and substantially less than a retail new version.
