If so, can someone TELL me the program/ how to find it?
If not, can someone suggest what I could do to send a fax from my computer (without the aid of one of these printer/fax/all-in-ones); just my computer and an internet connection?
Thanks! Go to add/remove programs...add/remove windows components/put a check mark in Fax Services. Make sure you have your genuine Windows CD handy.

To send the faxes, you STILL need your phone line, the XP service works like a fax machine. so you can send your faxes by different ways. One of them is using the print option: http://thecomputertricks.com/tricks/000015/index.html
If you want to send fax with your internet connection. You'll need to use the faxing services AVAILABLE on the internet. faxzero.com is one. or google "internet faxing"thank you to both of you
