Solve : File Saving/Naming Help? |
|
Answer» When I save a file in my Windows XP I like to save the entire file name in small-cap (i.e. - picture.jpg). However, the computer doesn't save it that way even though I type the name in entirely in small cap. It saves it usually as something like Picture.JPG . small-cap (i.e. - picture.jpg). That's not "small-cap" - it's lower case. Small Caps is a font style where all the letters are capitals and shifted ones are LARGER. When it is saved all in small cap, the file name gets automatically changed to a capital "P" and the extension often changes to upper case as well. Does the picture file you're saving already exist? Try saving as "picture2_test.jpg" (with the quotes) and post what the file ends up being named as.No always. If I create a document it will automatically capitalize the first letter of the name. If I download a photo or document from email it will capitalize the first letter. If I change the name from email when I save it, it will automatically capitalize it as well. You need to do some searching around in Options... For example i found this little tidbit on the Elements WEBPAGE:: Quote File Extension This tells me and confirms that it is indeed a option of the app itself...as Salmon and Techno suggested above and should be able to be changed to your liking.
