Answer» ERUNT will not fix your issue...it's a tool that makes a usable backup of the Registry before you make any Registry changes... The learning fact is unless you write down every change you make when in there so you can UNDO them ( tedious APPROACH ) it's best to always have a backup before proceeding with any changes. I KNOW some registry guru's that know it inside and out...i don't claim to....even they use backups just in case.Quote from: redhawk on May 27, 2008, 01:22:41 AM ive tried give em all either value 1 or 0 but cannot notice any change in explorer. (did not restart computer efter changes just closed explorer, made change , and tried to open again, you need to restart your computer after any registry cahnges you make to your systemI love the 'if all else fails, read instructions...'. I agree with the others, try a system restore. The lesson learned is that you dont mess with registry keys unless you are sure of what you are doing and are prepared to back out if you reach a stop point. Sounds to me like the INSTALL of SP2 did not go well, have you managed to update windows lately as well? Good luck, sorry I cant be of more assistance... Windows will have made system restore point beore you installes SP2. |
