Answer» Ahhhhh...
Ok, so when I was doing the Permission changes, none of the actual Permissions were ticked off. So I had control, but no Permissions. I checked the "Full Control" permission, and SAID OK. Now I can access the files.
That's done it. You guys had the right idea all along, I just didn't have the actual permissions ticked off for some reason. (Might be something that should be added to that take Ownership guide - if you take ownership, but don't give yourself permissions, you still can't do anything.)
Thanks very much to everyone. If you didn't get that message, it means, we're not dealing with permission issue here. Files may be simply corrupt, so killerb255's advice may be your only option. This may be a SHOT in the dark, but did you try Safe Mode, or Safe Mode with Command Prompt?Oh, I posted before SEEING your last reply, so....good GOING, man Quote from: Broni on September 13, 2008, 06:30:17 PM Oh, I posted before seeing your last reply, so....good going, man
Na, it was thanks to you guys hammering those instructions in. Otherwise I wouldn't have tried every option. Thanks again Good to SEE it solved i'm glad u solved your problem finally
