I recently installed WINDOWS 7 on a dual BOOT configuration with Vista on the other partition on my HP dv4 1030ee laptop. Everything seems to work fine and win 7 is great, but there is one important problem. On vista the fingerprint sensor works fine and on windows 7 it is not recognized. i THINK the DRIVERS are not installed for win 7 and so i did try to find the drivers on hp's website but still it doesnt work. I really want the fingerprint sensor to work on 7 as i use that for logging in to windows...but cant find the Digital persona software and drivers for windows 7. can someone please help me fix this? thanks.Have u went to download.com and looked for the necessary drivers?yes i just checked but did not manage to find any...

Are vista drivers compatible with Win 7 drivers, you could try making a backup of the drivers from the vista install and installing them to Win 7. Search google for a program called Double Driver Double Driver did the trick! I also found the setup for digital persona on vista which helped as well!
