I would appreciate help completing a hard drive install. LET me REVIEW. I recently added a WD 1TB SATA drive to my five year old computer. It was a custom unit put together by a reputable company. It came with WD 250GB SATA HD. Intel D915PCY DDR2 motherboard. The new drive installed great. I made 3 PARTITIONS G: H:and I:. All are formatted.
My question is, How do I do a fresh XP install on the new drive and have it read C:\? I have the original XP disc. I still want to USE the old drive with out the XP operating system.

Anamosa, IA Disconnect the original drive...
Hook up the new drive to SATA1...
Install XP.
Re-connect the original drive.
