Solve : Flash Player issues?

Answer»

I went to IGN.com to watch a video for the upcoming Starcraft 2 game and when I clicked the link to watch the video, the WINDOW that pops up with the video in it claims that I did not have macromedia flash PLAYER 9. So I download the flash player from the adobe website and adobe says the installation was completed succesfully but I still cant watch the video at IGN, the same window claims that I don't have flash player 9, which is the one I downloaded, version 9,0,47,0. YOUTUBE VIDEOS work but next to nothing else does, any idea what could be the problem?

I'm running Windows Vista PREMIUM, Internet Explorer 7.0, and Windows LiveOneCare antivirus.Did you go here:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507
to check your version?

On a same page, it also says:

In some cases, the version number reported in the movie above may not match the version of the installed Flash Player. If you think that a later version of Flash Player is installed on your system than indicated in the movie above, then follow these steps:

1. Close and reopen the browser.
An earlier version of the player may be in use by the browser, preventing the upgrade.
2. Restart the machine.

3. Remove and reinstall the player.
An error may have occurred during a previous installation of Flash Player. To resolve this error, completely remove the player, restart your machine, and then reinstall Flash Player.

There is also possible, some of your IE settings are not correct.I figured it out... sorta. I had to try uninstalling the flash player twice and reinstalling it before it finally worked out but it works fine now but thanks anyway.Cool...
