okay GUYS i need help!!!!   my friend gave me her computer and STUPID me loged out and then when it loged in it said her name and asking for a password. and she doesnt remember it and the hint isnt working either!!

is there a way to get around it?? is there a default password?  someone help soon!!!

I hope this help ya'That will help with a user account, not an administrator account. For that password you will need to contact the owner of the machine. An administrator account password should never be used lightly, and this is why.  well here the thing my friend said to press F8 go in safe mode and go to adminstrator (it says my friends name then adminstrator) and leave password blank and press enter

but it was the wrong password

the adminterator of the old computer doesnt ever remember setting any PASSWORDS!!!!

Yes F8 to safe mode gives you access to the hidden Administrator account, But  if the owner password protected the user account durring installation it defaults the same password to the hidden Administrator account...

contact your "Friend" or the "Old Administrator" and ask if they remember the very first password they used...Whether it's you or her i can't explain forgotten passwords....You mean "whether it's you, her or the old administrator".

Do you have a real Windows CD? If so, it is time to use it and reinstall everything. If not, it's off to the store for you.if i reinstall everything wont i loose all my work???i have the disk that my friend used to put that windows xp on her computer
