Answer» I just got a laptop & when I turn it on...I get PROMPTED to enter a password & I was wondering if I can BYPASS that or not...If I can, how? It's a Toshiba Laptop & it has Windows XP Home Edition. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You!!!You can't bypass it. Just how did you get this laptop? THANKS for replying to my post. Well actually the laptop is my sister's & she thinks her ex-boyfriend put a password on it & she wanted me to help her which I have no clue so I told her I would go online & try to get help but if I can't then I don't know what she is going to do. When you first open up the laptop...a blue window pops up SAYING Enter Password & she has no idea how her ex put one on there or how to get it off......so no idea. If she wants to open up her wallet and spend some cabbage a Toshiba Certified Repair facility will do this for her ....she will need to show proof of ownership.Makes a change from "the kids did it".
