Hey everyone ... came to this forum after such a long time .. hope i get some replies like as usual ... kk well i have a Dell Dimension 5150 pc that i bought in 2005 now after 2 years i really need to format my computer yes after two years .. such a long time ... need to format it because of several reasons like facebook wont WORK ... and just want windows reinstalled.... now my questions are that before formatting my computer or reinstalling new windows ... wht do i need to keep in MIND ? like i know i should backup all my data .. but what about the drivers  that came preinstalled WID this pc ? how would i find them after i formatted my comp ?? and yes dell didnt do any partitions but this time am going to do a partition so ye main question is wht do i need to do before formatting and wht abt the drivers thanks i hope someone replyDell machines come with a system restore. You should have some CDs with the machine. They will format the machine and install everything for you. It will leave the machine just like it was when you frist got it.

Keep in mind it will wipe everything off your hard drive so save your data.

If you don't have the CDs call Dell and they will send them to or you can use....

thanks a lot for ur reply i didnt receive any restore disk from dell so i have asked dell and they'll send me the disk soon so that means i dont have to format my computer by reinstalling new windows or anything that cd will do the work ? and will get my computer to stage when i bought it ? thanks Turn on the machine with the Dell CD in the drive and FOLLOW the instructions...this will take the machine back to Day One status...
