Answer» I have a model T5234 emachine computer needing either formatting or RETURNED to it original state. I have no recovery disks or other disks for formatting. How do I accomplish this task. The computer has Vista as its' OSUnless there is a built-in recovery partition you'll need to purchase a retail copy of the OS you wish to install.Ehamblen - I hope I'm not butting in where I am not SUPPOSED to, but I have an E MACHINE computer and it has a recovery built in. I am not too knowledgeable but I THINK it is in the D portion of the HD. E Machine gave me a print out of a way to go back to the original state.
