Solve : Four-Picture Icon View in Windows 7??

Answer»

I recently purchased a laptop with Windows 7 pre-installed. Due to changes in the interface, I can't seem to figure out how to make the Windows-XP-esque four-picture icon view for some photo albums. Is there anyway to do this?

I do not mean the icon view that looks like an open folder with certain files stuffed into it. But the folder imposed with four pictures from inside the folder. Is there a way to get that view in Windows 7?

SORRY for such an ELEMENTARY question, but I'm not used to Windows 7 and I wasn't able to find information about it in an internet search made earlier.

Thank you kindly.I think on Win 7 that certain thumbnail view/preview feature is removed. Instead you could customize by right-clicking folder, Properties - Customize tab - Folder Pictures then choose a file or image WITHIN the folder. Quote from: jason2074 on November 15, 2011, 01:13:46 AM

Really? Darn. That was a useful feature.

Thanks for the customization thing. A lot of work ahead of me! I'll try that. Thanks. What do you folder icons currently show? I BELIEVE the standard folder icon in Pictures is an open folder to the right with two photos exposed. Is that what you see?Quote from: SOYBEAN on November 15, 2011, 09:10:37 AM
