Solve : freezes at gateway logo? |

Answer» computer turns on GOES as far as gateway logo screen then everything stops. I can't boot in safe mode, it won't boot the recovery disk. Turned if off and on unplugged it. All the usual. Friend said I needed a new HARD drive. So I bought a new ONE. Installed it, turned on computer. SAME THING! So I noticed no lights on keyboard or mouse. Wiggled wires, unplugged. Plugged back in then got the message that there was no operating system installed. So I put the recovery disk in and installed all stuff to new hard drive. But now I'm THINKING it was hard drive it was something else. What does it mean that it stared working after i wiggled the wires? What is the current status of your machine(Laptop or Desktop)? Any previous issue such as infections,overheat,winupdate? |
