Solve : Friend's computer is in endless reboot cycle?

He is running Vista home premium. It tries to install an update when it is turning on, and it reboots itself. We've tried all the OPTIONS from the boot menu. Same thing. Google turns up people with the problem, but no FIXES.  Boot to safe MODE and remove the last 2 or 3 updates.

Turn off auto updates TEMPORARILY and DLoad and update them manually/

Does it say what update?I don't know if it says what update because I haven't actually seen it. Safe mode doesn't work, it does the same thing.Never mind, he fixed it. Apparently if you hit F11 it goes right to system restore.Good going
