I am a complete novice and I have a PROBLEM which has occurred and I dont know what to do.
I am on windows xp and when Itry to start up ,the configuration page (with loads of BLACK and white print with details of system etc)freezes on my screen.I have a flashing cursor on bottom left of screen but keyboard does not work and the on/off SWITCH on my tower does not work.I can only switch off by unplugging from the mains.Pleaase help!!!Start your computer, and KEEP tapping on F8 key. See, if it'll get you into Safe Mode..Thanks Broni but no go,keyboard is completely deadThis is probably because it's a USB keyboard...the drivers don't load until Windows starts loading properly.
See if you can BORROW a PS2 keyboard if not buy one for yourself...everyone should have one if only for Emergencies.
