Solve : fsquirt.exe?

Answer»

Hi all

I have a Packard Bell OneTwo, Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1, Intel Core i5-2400s, 64 bit.  I want to send files by Bluetooth from PC.  When I right click a file then click "send to", there is no Bluetooth option.  I can't find the Bluetooth Set Up Wizard and fsquirt.exe is missing.  Any help would be appreciated, thxs.Have you used Bluetooth before on this computer?
A question like yours was on the Microsoft site.
No send to Bluetooth device.
The general answer is that you must manually turn on or start the Bluetooth device. And  you must have specific directories that are for Bluetooth.
PLEASE look at the link above to find more links about Bluetooth and Windows.
Also, look at this:
What is the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard?
Quote

The Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard enables users to transfer files between a computer and a Bluetooth device. For example, users can transfer files between a computer and a mobile phone or a personal digital assistant (PDA). The Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard can also transfer files between two computers that support Bluetooth.

Note  The default GUI that the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard uses is implemented in the Fsquirt.exe file. This file can be unhooked from the underlying transfer wizard mechanism to enable replacement of the default Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard GUI. For more information, see the following question...
If that does not help, please report back here. HELLO there

I have not used Bluetooth on my pc before.  I don't think my pc has built in Bluetooth.  When I click Start then type in Bluetooth, NOTHING matching comes up.  There is no Bluetooth symbol in the "show hidden icons" tiny arrow.  Will I need a Bluetooth USB dongle?  What about "Bluetooth File Transfer" software.Curious as to why you want to use Bluetooth for File Transfer?

Bluetooth would be my very last option for any file sharing because the PROTOCOLS that bluetooth operate on are very unsecure.

If requiring a wireless transfer, i would go with wireless G or N instead where you will have better security and encryption options for point to point transfers of data.A broad  observation about what DaveLembke said.
Bluetooth is often used for short range low-speed data communications where security is not a major issue.
However, there are a number of innovations and options with Bluetooth.
Bluetooth: What does it really do and will it be replaced?

Bluetooth can also be used to wirelessly control devices. For example by using Bluetooth to pair a smartphone to some speakers not only can you send music from the phone to be played out of the speakers, but you can also then use the phone to adjust the volume, pause the music or skip track.
Similarly the wireless controllers used by the PlayStation 4 and some other consoles use Bluetooth to pair with the console and wireless keyboards and mice generally rely on Bluetooth
In those kinds of applications you might not care if your neighbors can hear your music selections.
Plenty of other  options for file transfer...a USB stik comes to mind.
