Answer» I have been getting a weird cursor in IE7 (XP Sp2). When I am typing, I don't GET the usual flashing "\|" thing, I am getting a "\|" with a small black triangle at the TOP on the right. I've even got it as I write this message! What is this & why is this?Control PANEL > Appearance & themes > Mouse Pointers (on left) > Pointers (at top) Check that 'Windows default' is the selected scheme then 'apply'. If this doesn't fix it, double click on 'text select' cursor & select 'beam_l' (I THINK that's the right one).It didn't work. Just so you know, the cursor thing is only in text boxes in internet explorer (7). Everywhere else, it is the proper flashing \| eg notepad, word etc Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab. Click on "Reset" button.when i turned my COMPUTER on today it was gone. very weird. thanks anyways.Restart cures many things.....
