I turned my computer on and my icons and toolbar were gone and I couldn't open anything except task manger? HELP PLEASE
You need to provide more information.
What happened since the last time the system WORKED properly (new hw, sw, virus, error, etc).
What type of computer (desktop or LAPTOP)?
What OS?i got WIN 7 iwas downloading a big file off sd card and it taking a LONG time to download so i cancelled it then everthing dissapperedReboot to the Windows 7 dvd and choose repair options.sorry i forgott i have a laptopso i should put the back up disks in and repair it. Ok

Or you can do that.
Make sure you backup any critical data first.which recovery disk should i put in? Just start from 1?We currently don't know what disks you have...so it's hard to advise.
