Hello, I turned my computer on and I get a message that says g system missing, hit any key to restart.  I did and got the same message.  I restarted and tried f8 and went rite back to that message.  I tried a boot disk and nothing.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.Is that the complete error message, if not please post the entire message..

Some details of what pc we're dealing with would also be helpful..

ThanksThat is the entire message, and the pc is custom built, but if you would like specs I would be willing to give them.That is the bare minimum to get a MEANINGFUL reply.

                              Corsair 2x 512mb pc4200 ddr2
I built it about 6 months ago.

I was PLAYING worms armageddon and I turned the sound up with my keyboard, the GAME crashed and it wouldn't start back up again so I restarted and got the problem I stated in the first post.The closest I can come to your error message is "NTLDR or g system missing press any key to continue" but the site would not open.

You may have to consider using the recovery console to correct the error.

Yeah I found that site early and to no avail.  I wouldn't be a problem if I could just reformat, but that doesn't seem to be an option, I might just go buy a new hard drive tomorrow and start over.Can you not format by booting from your OS cd :-? Quote

I just put in a new hard drive.  Seems to be working fine now.  Thanks for trying to help, though.
