I buy games and I look at the system requirements and my computer meets them and beats them by far so I go to play offline and it lags bad so I have reformatted and defraged and did a virus scan and spybot scan, I downloaded all the latest drivers ect.. and STILL it lags please help e-maila me thanks.more info on which games and operating system and  also the system itself which will run these games...I have Windows xp on it and , 17GB hard drive 350Mb of ram, Pentium 633 , 40x Speed Cd-rom , Radeo 9000 128Mb video card


I'm trying to run the game crimson skies, system requirements are- Precessor- 266, system memory-64Mb, graphic card-8Mb, Free space- 675Mb, Cd-rom 4 Speed, Directx 7.0   I have all that but still the game runs laggyi take it its a laptop? go to majorgeeks .com and download freexp ram program...games need all the ram that they can get...and why have you directx7 and not the latest one..is it because of certain games fail to run because of it..?No the computer is a desktop, and I have directx 9 but it only needs directx 7 I have no idea why it lags, all my games do and my computer with what it has shouldent lag with these easy games liek this.  any ideas?The reason i SAID laptop is 17gb h/d?type dxdiag in the run box and see if it reports anything like....update video drivers...you SAY its lags...blured graphics?slow in re-acting...are you using  the mouse /KEYBOARD/joystick/paddles for this game..you could try go into the control panel /display/settings/advanced...performance tab and fiddle with the hardware accelerator slider..I typed that into run and It went through it all and there was no problems In the game the graphics are good they arent blurry its a flying game, they look good it is just choppy and laggy, not blurry, i use my keyboard to control, and my hardware accelerator slide is on full in the game if I turn teh graphics down all to low it runs a BIT better but my computer should be able to run it on high graphics or atleast medium??its compatable with winxp and should run with no problems this one however has a problem snipped>Crimson Skies 1.02  


Took forever to load.
All system operations slowed tremendously after installation.
Uninstalled and did a "restore," system worked fine. Installed again. Took forever, using 80-100% of CPU. System slowed again. All system operations now use tremendous amount of CPU.

is it a recent game? some may meet your requirments, but that just might be the minimum... also see if you have alot of proccess running or applications that might slow it down
