Hi Broni- I am the one with the 51.7 GB HD and now I am down to 35.4. It tells me that when I go into my computer and click on the icon for local disk C I cannot download SP3 it won’t complete and it has to back out the files, I have tried now about a dozen times… AND I can’t download flash player either. SO I can’t do my job because I need flash player… I was the one that had to reformat due to a BAD virus… that I thought I had gotten rid of, but the memory are still being gobbled up by something! I also need to re-seat my RAM… my husband did not print out the PDF so I can walk myself through it yet. If it is not a virus issue then is it an OS problem? They tell me it looks clean after reading my logs. I updated all of the Java software as instructed, and I had SP2 already installed. My laptop is a Gateway so I also have 'big fix' that tells me when I have to install patches for security reasons as well. I am at a total loss, If it is not viral then what else could it be? I know that tracking cookies are not harmful, but maybe there is something so deeply embedded that the virus software can’t see it? OK. You have THREE threads going about very same issue. I'm not ABLE to FOLLOW. I'm sorry.I am sorry, I was told to start a new thread when I ran the scans... so I did. And the other two threads were consolidated into one by the admin... and this thread was moved to the Microsoft Windows forum. I am trying to do what I am asked... but I guess that I am just confused as to how to use this system... it IS my first time. please let me know what I need to do to help the situation and I will do it. |
