every time i turn on my computer a small window pops up in the windows environment with the message

What Operating System are you running?

What were you doing before the problem?

How long has it been happening?thank you for the greetings.

I can't remember when EXACTLY this happened but the last time i remember i was updating my avast antivirus, spyware terminator and comodo firewall then i noticed the window pop up. I also remember turning off my windows firewall.

I am using windows XP SP2 version.Try enabling the Firewall.

In the mean time, I will do more searching.Ok, thank you. I really appreciate it.You might want to have a read yourself.

This http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070911223838AAsy17w link solved my problem.

I did the updates and disabled the Windows Imaging Application.Congrats. Thank you chrys_03.
I just did your idea, and I will keep you posted if it worked for. As far as the Updates are CONCERN, my machine has all the recent updates. as a matter of fact, I EVEN tried the above mentioned updated, and it let me know that I have them already, and no need to do it.
Thank you again

This thread was last active 3 years ago. I doubt if chrys_03 is ever going to see your messages.
You are probably right, however this forum site is made for everyone to gain info. Regarding the original post, I have an UPDATE. Just before almost 48 Hours after I performed Chris03's idea the pop-up CAME up again. That means that hes idea did not work in my machine. I am running Windows XP SP3, if anyone has any other suggestions, please post it here Thank You.
