Solve : Getting Access....?

Answer»

I just did a SYSTEM upgrade to vista from xp home. Eveything went PRETTY smooth except for in "my documents" folder, when I try to open "my music" folder it say I don't have permission to access this folder. I am the only admin on the ACCOUNT. I tried to allow access but it won't let me. How can I change this so I can access my music?I found this. It looks like he's having the same problem that you're having. Perhaps, it might help.

I am the only user on my computer. I own the folder YET I can't access that and it only happen after an os upgrade. Do you think the folder is just currupt?Tried taking ownership of the FILE?

(in Patios link)you could log on as an admin and then change the permissions to block your user profile from the folder and then save it. Then go back in and give your user profile full control (make sure all the other correct boxes are ticked/unticked. If this dont work log on as another use try access the folder and if you can then copy all the music to a pen drive or what ever. then on your blocked account make a new my music folder and copy all the music over.

if you dont have access to a admin accoun then i dont know what to do sorryHellooo guys...the poster is with Vista..
