Solve : Gforce4 MX4000 Video Drivers? |
|
Answer» I have a computer with no internet connection. It is running XP. I have inserted a Force4 MX4000 Video card but I don't have the drivers for it. When I booted the computer it just installed generic drivers to get it working. Some features of screen resolution don't work really well. I tried downloading the drivers for this video card from Nvidia, but when I try to install the drivers I get an error message. Nvuninst - X - This program has performed an illegal operation and will be SHUT down. Any suggestions?DLoad the correct drivers on another PC with web access and copy them to a flash drive. Nvuninst - X - This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. This error does not occur on Windows XP. It is a Windows 9x error message.Try uninstalling/disable your previous Gforce video card(generic) drivers before downloading the NVidia driver. If unsuccessful, try an OLD video card that match your motherboard and install then uninstall and replace it again with your Gforce video card and make sure to install the correct drivers then. Good Luck!! OK, I'll post the error message: ... and will be shut down Details: NVUNINST caused an invalid page fault in module NVUNINST.EXE at 0177:004018al.
