Answer» Well, ONE of my friends has Windows 7, and was recently trying to install GNU Unifont, but to no avail. ( http://unifoundry.com/unifont.html )
I decided to help, so I have them upload the file to my Linux box,
Code: [Select]$ file uni/unifont-5.1.20080907.ttf uni/unifont-5.1.20080907.ttf: TrueType font data
Then I download it to this XP box, check it in the font viewer, try installing it, it doesn't install here either. The MD5 of the file is 01a808b76cc0f50e065bc5ddce539d5d
Anything to try? (XP is not concerned with the font right now, FOCUS should be Windows 7)
What I'm told they tried: * Copy/paste into font folder * Manual addition of registry keys * Logout/Login
What is INTERESTING is that they said they renamed some fonts (I don't KNOW if the renaming was as in the filename or internal name), and Windows didn't seem to notice.
