Answer» Hi,
I tried out the Network Magic program, now I am not going to buy it after the trial period. I uninstalled it using Add/rRmove Program. Now it leaves a Network Magic FOLDER on my desktop, when I try to drag it into the trash, it just won't let me. I did this in Safe Mode and it won't let me to trash it either. This is so annoying. I think there is a FILE or so start itself when the PC reboot, how do I get rid of it? Well, this is one very reason not to buy this peice of crap.
BTW, I use Windows 2000 Pro.
MacPChi. download this:
unlocker.No thanks.
How about killbox, run in safe mode?
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.phpI tried both Killbox and Unlocker to no avail, so I went into RegEdit and search for the words Pure Networks and Network Magics, deleted all related ENTRIES and it WORKS. The icon is gone. .
Don't you just hate these kins of sloppy programs that don't clean up after themselves after being uninstalled, there should be a LAW against the sloppy programmers, beheading will be an appropreate punishment.
MacPCBut that would mean we'd all have to switch to Linux.

OH no! Don't switch to Linux, I hope MS will continue to do their "good works." Just think of it, if one day everyone switch to Linux or Mac, we won't have so MUCH fun on this forum, Hair Club for Men wil go under, millions of IT guys will be filing unemployment, and the whole world's economy will belly up!!! Please Mr. Gate, come out with more craps.
MacPClThere are enough headaches with Linux as well to keep any Forum going.... At least we wouldn't have to argue about IE and Firefox again. Good Point...
