Answer» Help - I have a Dell Dimension T500, with an Intel Pentium III, 500 Mhz, 384 MB Ram, RUNNING Windows XP Home Edition, SP2. Recently, my system stopped being able to do Windows Automatic Update. When I try to use automatic Update, I GET the error dialogue box that says, "network policy settings prevent you from getting updates from this website for your computer" And it says that I have error 0x8DDD0003. When I click on the 'help' LINK that tells me the fix, it says that I have to access the gpedit.msc to correct the problem (since I am the system administrator). So I click on Start, Run, and type in gpedit.msc, then click ok and windows says it can't find that file. How can i fix this?Gpedit.msc is only available in the Pro version of XP. See here...
Here is a little bit of info on which Reg entry might be worth looking at.
Take all the NECESSARY actions before editing your registry!!!
Good luck
