A virus cannot destroy hardware Couldn't someone write a virus that turns the fans off and does something to work the CPU constantly until it overheats. Or, that reformats your drive to maybe Windows 98?Quote from: Doug on October 11, 2011, 07:55:33 PM Couldn't someone write a virus that turns the fans off and does something to work the CPU constantly until it overheats. Or, that reformats your drive to maybe Windows 98?Not quite sure why that question needed repeating...and yes ...2 of the 3 are possible.Quote from: Doug on October 11, 2011, 07:55:33 PM Couldn't someone write a virus that turns the fans off and does something to work the CPU constantly until it overheats.
