Solve : Gues who made the jump??

Answer»

Hey guys, guess who MADE the jump to Windows Vista!!!

Not me. However, you wouldn't know it looking at what I did. Curiosity killed the cat I suppose, and finding Vista-style FireFox skins and Desktop themes was a winner for me.

Just . . . urgh.Where did you find them?  Have you noticed any IMPACT on computer performance?

By the way, I just noticed Calum has 2000 posts.Indeed I have.
First 1991, the year I was born, then 2000, a coloured name and new rank, now 2007, this year.
No wait, 2008.
I missed it, made ANOTHER post before this one by ACCIDENT.
LOL.
Oh yeah, what theme is it for Firefox, and can I see a screenshot of that? Quote

Looks like Windows XP in Vista's clothing?  Or is that Windows Vista is nothing but Windows XP with a makeover?

It is XP. I am using Vista-style themes.

WinXP

Calum, no real drop in performance for me. Probably because it uses Vista graphics, but not the Vista method of implementing them or some other thing like that.

When I boot, it starts with the XP toolbar, then after it boots up the Object Desktop it changes everything.

One gripe: The radio starts with boot, and you have to load the sidebar to stop it. (Start > Show side bar)Eww, I definitely don't like the sidebar.  The sleek taskbar is kinda cool, but I still prefer Classic.I turned my sidebar off the first day I had Vista.  IF I really need some sort of gadget, I'll turn it back on, but otherwise, it uses too much realty.  If I had more than one SCREEN, on the other hand, it would be good.

I don't like how the system tray, your icons, etc. don't look right.  It all blends together nicely in Vista.

-rockWhat can I say? The skins only go so far.

Actually, now that I've indulged myself in a sample of Vista's only good point, I've gone back to same ol' XP with the Royale theme. Now I have no desire whatsoever to own Vista.

(I know the systray was a little messed up in that screen -- rebooting got my systray icons back.)
