Earlier my lil cousin, was on my computer and she had someone tell her... "Add me or I'm goin' to hack"... I didn't know what to do... so I just unplugged the net... you know the ethernet wire... how can I prevent them from gettin 'in? just a false warning, but it is a good idea to install an antivirus, anti-spyware programs, and a good firewall, if you need a list of trusted programs, ask itI'd treat it more seriously, all ANYONE needs is your IP address which is easy to get by running a 3 way IM chat, and then send your cousin a file which your cousin then executes (thinking it's a picture) The above can easily be done with email too and any idiot can do it. Then they have a backdoor and 'own' your computer. It is IMPORTANT to keep your defences up.to fed: why would they warn you if they send an trojan... than you know they try to hack you, and then you don't open it...Well from the whole dumpin' of memory thing.... I GOT ALL OF THOSE downloads... and I don't know what was up, but I took some things out of registry. and well my Media Player thing... works ten times better... the only drawback though... is it doeesn't play AVI's too well.... but it doesn't skip as much.... Quote "Add me or I'm goin' to hack"Blackberry, I think the warning refers to adding someone to her contact list. A real hacker wouldn't warn someone but you have to remember these are kids and what they CALL hacking REQUIRES no skill on their part at all. |
