Answer» My computer[running on Windows XP] cannot detect one of the secondary hard disks. It used to occur occassionally. Now it doesn't appear at all. Does the drive SHOW there? If so, what is its STATUS and drive letter?no it does not show there but all other hard disks and external hard disk show and they are in good conditionYou may want to go to the manufactures web site and download the disk tools. Run them against the drive to be sure its still good. To me it sound like its a bad drive. Boot into the BIOS and see if the drive appears there. If not, probably a bad drive. Alan <>< do you have another computer AVAILABLE? If you do, I would try connecting hard drive in question to it and see if the second computer can access it.
